From 24-26 June, the whole UK housing sector came together for Housing 25 in Manchester, providing a crucial space for open, honest discussions.
With a common desire to strengthen communities and plan for future housing needs, over 9,000 attendees gathered to hear from some of the industry’s brightest minds and innovative businesses. In total, there were 500+ speakers and 350+ exhibitors.
Once again, ROCC joined the event as an exhibitor to collaborate and help shape the future of housing policy. We were delighted with the number of professionals and organisations that came to our stand, and have been following up on enquiries ever since the event.
Our team spoke to more attendees than ever before about how ROCC can help improve their housing repairs and maintenance services.
Some of the key points of discussion included:
- Awaabs Law: How ROCC’s software can ensure housing providers manage damp and mould cases and guarantee that tenant communications, inspections, remedial works and any other requirements are completed within the legislation’s timescales.
- Flexibility of ROCC: How adaptable the ROCC solution is and how it delivers a flexible system that’s tailored to the needs of customers. A lot of people we spoke to shared their frustrations with existing systems, explaining they don’t work the way they need them to.
- Complex works management: Many were very excited to hear about ROCC’s new Orchestrator solution, which brings together all related elements of complex tasks, such as voids, and dynamically manages them to ensure works are completed in the correct sequence.
- Artificial intelligence: AI was a hot topic, but the ROCC team took the conversation well beyond the superficial and spoke at length with many attendees about the need to deploy and utilise the right AI tools to improve and support human beings to cope better with workplace pressures.
- Supporting small contractors: We illustrated to many smaller contractors how they can have the functionality and software features enjoyed by large contractors and tight integration to their clients at a fraction of the cost they were expecting to pay.
Having spoken to existing partners and potential new clients, we were delighted with the positive feedback we received about ROCC. Plus, we came away from the event with a host of new connections and insights into other areas of the housing sector.
Pete Luck, Business Operations Director, ROCC: “Housing 2025 was a pivotal event for ROCC. It brought together the best of the housing and tech sectors, allowing us to showcase our latest innovations, including our complex works module and operative tracking solution, while also genuinely listening to the challenges housing organisations and their teams face on the ground.
“The conversations we had were refreshingly honest and future-focused — exactly what’s needed to drive meaningful progress.
“This year’s event reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and gave us renewed confidence that our roadmap aligns with the sector’s real-world needs.”
