Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that
allows telephone calls to be made using a Broadband Internet
connection instead of a regular telephone line. Some
services using VoIP only allow calls to other users on the
same service, but others allow calls to anyone who has a
telephone number - including local, long distance, mobile
and international numbers. VoIP solutions can be more cost
effective than traditional telephony solutions.
