Corporate Social Responsibility is taken seriously by ROCC.
We believe that an employer should be an active and positive
part of the community it exists with.
ROCC tries to tangibly do things that can make a difference.
Here are just some of them.
- ROCC is a major project sponsor for
The
CUPFINAL Project, run
by
Brighton and Hove Albion’s Football in The Community team,
providing free coaching, facilities, advice and courses for
children living in social housing. See the
RSL Football Inclusion Project
website for
more information. This is a project that improves the lives of
local communities that are struggling to gain access to the
resources more privileged communities enjoy. The ROCC tournament
this year was held at nearby Preston Park run by Brighton and
Hove Albion Football Clubs charitable arm 'Albion
in the Community’. Over 250 youngsters took part in an all day
tournament. ROCC staff helped on the day, coaching, refereeing
and helping with the scoring.
- ROCC has been associated with schools and
further and higher education institutions in Sussex for
more than 30 years. Michael Aldrich has been formally
linked to the University of Brighton since 1982 and he
is the Founding Chairman of the University. In 1995,
with his wife Sandy, he established the
Aldrich Collection of Contemporary Art which
now has over 300 works and is frequently exhibited
around Sussex. In 1998 the University named its new
business and technology library for him. In 2009 he
donated the
Aldrich Archive to the library. He is
currently a Trustee of the University Foundation a
registered charity devoted to fundraising.
- ROCC has sponsored the prize for the best final year
undergraduate completing the University of Brighton’s BA (Hons)
in Business Information Systems course for over 15 years. It is
now named The John McGregor-Temple Prize after a late ROCC
employee.

to ensure that ROCC is as environmentally responsible as
possible.
